About Replay Learning
Replay Learning is the largest independent provider of Continuing Education and Training (CET) in the optical industry. Led by optometrist Peter Charlesworth, Replay Learning has been providing a broad range of CET to optometrists, dispensing opticians and students since 1998.
Replay Learning merged with Optometric Educators (OEL) in 2004 adding further experience of conference and workshop provision. The combined company ran more than 50 conferences and published more than 20 distance learning modules in 2007.
We offer all types of CET including computer-based distance learning , large clinical conferences , specialist subject lecture days and hands-on practical workshops. We also provide a bespoke service designing and managing tailor-made courses and events for clients such as LOCs, optical chains and supplier companies.
Meet the team
Peter Charlesworth
Managing Director
Peter founded Replay Learning in 1998 and since then has worked to develop the company into a leading educational provider within the optical industry. Peter has previously worked as an optometrist in practice and was also a tutor practitioner for Boots teaching undergraduates at Bradford University.
When he’s not busy thinking of new educational ideas for optometrists you can usually find Peter hurtling down a mountain at top speed on his bike!
Susan Marshall
Project Manager
Susan came to Replay Learning in 2007 having previously worked in optical sales. She has a strong interest in the optical industry and is especially responsible for running the large Replay Learning conferences each year.
Susan’s two dogs Sapphie and Maggie regularly visit the office to keep everyone in line.
Ginny Allsop
Project Co-ordinator
Ginny joined Replay Learning in 2007. She has a degree in Applied Consumer Science. Previously, Ginny worked in Quality & Technical and Marketing for Europe’s leading supplier of own label household care products. She continued to work in Marketing for a global producer of flavours and fragrances, until relocating to Dumfries & Galloway from Manchester. Ginny enjoys cycling and being a mum to her 1 year old son, who often joins her on the back of the bike! She is in the process of completing a Swedish Massage course.
Lyndsay Anderson BA
Project Co-ordinator
Lyndsay joined Replay Learning in April 2010. She lived and studied in Glasgow where she gained a degree in Social Sciences. After graduating, she moved back home to Dumfriesshire and has worked in banking and property management before coming to Replay Learning.
Sarah Lancaster
Project Co-ordinator
Sarah joined Replay Learning in August 2010. Sarah originates from Altrincham in Cheshire, where she studied at Altrincham Girls Grammar School and South Trafford College. She lived in Altrincham for over 30 years before relocating to Dumfries and Galloway in 2007 with her family. Sarah has worked in accounts for a number of years but since relocating has worked as a PA and Human Resource Assistant. Her interests include hill walking, learning to ski and reading.
Rob McCall
Project Co-ordinator
Rob is Warwickshire born and bred, moving to Dumfries and Galloway-his second home in 2000. Rob’s careers have included corporate hospitality, hotels and conferences, media sales and exhibitions working in such diverse places as Inverness and Iraq. Rob originally joined Replay Learning in 2007 and left to become a civil servant, re-joining in 2010 as Project Co-ordinator.
Lynn Smith
Customer Service Manager
Lynn has worked for Replay Learning since 2010. Originally from South Yorkshire, Lynn relocated to Dumfries 8 years ago, to enjoy a quieter life near her 2 daughters and 5 grandchildren. Prior to this back in Yorkshire, she worked for South Yorkshire Police, firstly as a Constable and returning as a member of support staff.
Roxane Edwards BA
Multimedia Developer
Roxane is originally from Johannesburg, South Africa. Prior to Replay Learning, Roxane began her career as a web designer in the online gaming industry and has since branched into multimedia development. Roxane has been managing all design-work and multimedia for Replay Learning since 2009.
